Founder & CEO
Ariane Le Chevallier
Ariane Le Chevallier is an experienced strategic communications advisor who has worked with dozens of high-profile national, state, and local nonprofits, foundations, public agencies, and elected leaders on the most consequential issues of our time. Her work has focused primarily on social, economic and racial justice issues that disproportionately impact women, people of color, children and communities with the least representation.
Ariane is most passionate about building trust in (good) government and communicating effectively about social safety net programs. She served as a top advisor to Oregon Gov. Kate Brown (and several state agencies) during COVID and advised Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler during the political unrest in 2021.
Ariane got her start in Washington, D.C. where she spent more than a decade working for national campaigns, causes and clients. That time included serving as a White House intern and organizing young people across the country for the 2004 Presidential election.
Her areas of expertise are in communications planning, media relations, public affairs, messaging, stakeholder relations and crisis communications. Her secret power is mapping the right audiences to the most effective messages, messengers and media strategies.
Ariane has worked in dozens of public policy and advocacy areas including health care (health coverage, reproductive health, public health and mental health), early and K-12 public education, affordable housing and homelessness, childhood hunger, unemployment insurance and other public programs.
She has successfully generated media coverage in hundreds of media outlets, including The New York Times, The Associated Press, The Washington Post, NPR, Axios, Politico, The Wall Street Journal, The Today Show, NBC Nightly News, The Atlantic, The Chronicle of Philanthropy, Forbes, The Oregonian and OPB.
Ariane is an instructor for the Strategic Communications and Public Relations program at Portland State University’s Center for Executive and Professional Education and is the founder of The Mom Collective. She is a proud product of public education and graduated from the University of Utah with a B. A. in mass communication. She also completed masters-level coursework in public administration at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. She lives in Portland, OR with her partner Gabe who is an insurance recovery attorney, her very active elementary school kiddo and her darling pup, Joanie.
